UNITED WE FLY. FOR PILOTS, BY PILOTS.
The Mini Quad Club (MQC) was started back in 2014 as a way to help teach others how to build and maintain their FPV mini quads (drones). What started off as a small community has flourished into the premier online forum for pilots young and old to share their photos, videos, and experiences with our hobby turned sport.
In 2015, we decided to bring a line of airframes out into the marketplace that were simple, functional, and most importantly – warrantied. The first of these airframes was the MQC ONE.
In 2016 – based on customer feedback – we released the MQC Fusion and later, moved all of our production and manufacturing to the USA at our headquarters in Northeast Ohio. In 2017, we released the MQC SXR racing frame and continued on our mission to bring as much in-house to our machine shop as possible – including 3D printing and laser-etching.
In 2018, it became apparent that the industry was changing, and that our business model would not allow us to continue to manufacture here in the US. Demand was high, and our ability to continue in-house production of the airframes became more and more difficult due to a multitude of factors. We let our current stock of materials dwindle and ended up temporarily shutting down the store to regroup and consider our options. In late 2018, we formulated a partnership with an International Partner to manufacture our airframes with the EXACT same carbon fiber that you’ve come to love and respect from the MQC over the past few years. Their ability to match our machining capabilities has enabled us to keep serving our community of customers with the BEST airframes in the industry.
Today, we have managed to keep all design, prototyping, and product fulfillment in-house here in the US – including the manufacturing of all 3D accessories. We have also launched a brand new airframe line-up based on the original Fusion platform, including the MQC Fusion V.2, MQC Fusion XR, and MQC Fusion Split V.2.
While we love bringing new and innovative products to the marketplace – our larger goal of education, whether online in our forum, or with our partner uLab Educational Services – is still our biggest passion. We are pilots, and design things for pilots. United, We Fly! #ForPilotsByPilots #UnitedWeFly #MQC4LIFE
